Shortly after WrestleMania 39 some big moves were made with the Raw and SmackDown rosters thanks to the 2023 WWE Draft. Several NXT stars were called up to the main roster including JD McDonagh who was drafted to the Monday Night Raw brand.
Following his main roster call up it was rumored that JD McDonagh was being considered for The Judgment Day. WWE teased the possibility of Finn Balor recruiting JD McDonagh for The Judgment Day on TV, but in recent weeks the company hasn’t followed up on that storyline.
The WRKD Wrestling account is now reporting that plans for JD McDonagh to join The Judgment Day have been halted for now. JD McDonagh didn’t appear on Monday Night Raw this week, but he did face off against Apollo Crews during the Main Event tapings.

It’s not clear at this point why WWE decided to put these plans on hold, or where JD McDonagh could go from here. Either way things seem to be going well for The Judgment Day as they’ve been one of the top acts on Raw for some time now. We’ll have to wait and see if WWE decides to move forward with plans to add a new member to the group in the future. Stay tuned for updates.
