Mickie James has been in the professional wrestling business for decades now and her resume is quite impressive to say the least. She’s held numerous championships, faced off with some of the biggest names, and it’s not a stretch to say that Mickie James has had a Hall of Fame worthy career.
It looks like current IWGP Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone has her sights set on a potential match with Mickie James as she recently said during a Q&A at Planet Comicon that she’s, “waiting for the bag, I’m waiting for Mickie James. Absolutely do I want to wrestle Mickie James. Mickie James is one of my legit idols.”
Mercedes Mone also noted that when Mickie James returned to WWE in 2016 she wanted to face off against her in a one on one match that never happened. She also took things one step further when she said she wants to be the one to retire Mickie.
“I definitely believe in 2023 that I can definitely make that dream come true. I definitely would love to face Mickie James and retire her a**; send her back to that rodeo and ride that horse. Bye Mickie.”
