It’s been an interesting time in the world of professional wrestling as moves are being made. Earlier this week WWE confirmed that Jade Cargill signed a multi-year contract with the company, and recently there’s been a lot of talk about Edge possibly joining AEW.
PWInsider is now reporting that Edge’s name has been removed from WWE’s internal roster. It was noted that Edge is still listed on the roster on WWE.com but is no longer listed with the company.
Earlier this month Edge was removed from WWE’s internal roster, but hours later he was added back under the misc. section which features talent who are currently injured such as Braun Strowman, or talent like Steve Austin who are connected to the company, but aren’t part of the regular roster. As of now Edge is no longer listed.
The belief is that Edge will be free and clear to sign with another company as of 10/1. AEW has been interested in working with Edge since 2019, so it will be interesting to see how things play out.
Stay tuned for more updates on Edge’s status as they become available.
