Now that the Royal Rumble has come and gone we’re officially on the road to WrestleMania. Over the next few weeks WWE will be putting their biggest matches together for the Show of Shows, but it doesn’t look like Brock Lesnar will be included in the company’s plans.
It was recently reported that Brock Lesnar was withdrawn from the Royal Rumble due to the Vince McMahon lawsuit, and that The Beast is not expected to appear at Elimination Chamber or WrestleMania. Original plans for Brock reportedly had him facing Dominik Mysterio at Elimination Chamber and Gunther at WrestleMania 40.
Dave Meltzer recently shared an update on Brock Lesnar’s status on Wrestling Observer Radio and he noted that some people think Brock Lesnar may not ever return to WWE.
“It appears that Brock Lesnar is not going to be around for a while. Some people think ever. When it comes to talent I hate to say forever because most of the time it’s not the case. Especially if somebody can draw. They seem to find a way back.”
At this point it’s not clear if we will ever see Brock Lesnar on WWE programming again, but it seems that WWE will be moving forward without The Beast during WrestleMania season this year.
