WWE is constantly going through changes and now it seems that another key figure is parting ways with World Wrestling Entertainment as the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Chief Operating Officer Brad Blum tendered his resignation on May 1st.
Details regarding his departure are unknown, but it’s being said that it was his decision to leave, and nobody forced him out. Triple H, Nick Khan and Brad Blum were considered the most powerful officers in the company.
Brad Blum started with WWE in 2006 as the Chief of Staff and also served in various leadership roles. In early 2020 he took over WWE’s Operations. Blum reportedly reported only to Nick Khan and was overseeing Corporate Strategy, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Creative Services, IT & Technology, Insights & Analytics, Real Estate & Facilities, and Corporate Travel.
The official bio for Brad Blum on WWE’s corporate website reads as follows:
“Brad Blum is Chief Operating Officer for WWE, part of TKO Holdings Group (NYSE: TKO). Throughout his tenure at WWE, Blum has been a critical strategic and operational leader, ensuring both the development and execution of WWE’s strategic initiatives resulting in continuous record growth for the company.
Blum began his tenure at WWE in 2006 serving as Chief of Staff for more than a decade while also serving in various leadership roles, most recently taking responsibility for WWE’s Operations in early 2020.
As COO, Blum reports to Nick Khan and currently oversees Corporate Strategy, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Creative Services, IT & Technology, Insights & Analytics, Real Estate & Facilities, and Corporate Travel.
Prior to WWE, Blum served 10 years in the U.S. Army as a Captain and Military Intelligence Officer. Blum was awarded the Bronze Star medal for his efforts during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Blum received his MBA from Arizona State University in 2006 and is an Alumnus of Harvard Business School.”
