Over the weekend The Young Bucks faced off against Sting & Darby Allin in the main event at Revolution, and it was Sting & Allin who picked up the win to retain the AEW Tag Team Titles. Sting retired following the main event at Revolution and this week on Dynamite, The Young Bucks announced that a tournament will be held to crown new AEW Tag Team Champions.
The Young Bucks then went on to announce that both Adam Page, and Kenny Omega have been suspended from The Elite indefinitely. Matt and Nick Jackson were just about to make another announcement when they were interrupted by Eddie Kingston who confronted The Bucks and dared them to fire him. The situation escalated as things got physical, but The Young Bucks got the upper hand after Matt Jackson hit Eddie with a low blow.
As The Young Bucks were about to hit the BTE Trigger on Eddie Kingston, Kazuchika Okada’s music hit and he made his way down to the ring. For a moment it seemed that Okada was going to back up Eddie Kingston, but instead he hit Kingston with the Rainmaker.
The Young Bucks then announced Okada as the newest member of The Elite. Okada shook hands with The Bucks and signaled that he wants to challenge Eddie Kingston for the Continental Crown Championship as the segment came to an end.
