The AEW Revolution pay-per-view aired live on Sunday night, and fans saw CM Punk face off against MJF in a dog collar match. The match was brutal, but it was CM Punk who picked up the victory.
During the match MJF dumped a bag of tacks out on the mat, then he hit Punk with a suplex from the ropes onto the pile of tacks. While CM Punk was down MJF called for Wardlow, and Wardlow made his way down to the ringside area.
Wardlow searched through his pockets, but pretended that he couldn’t find the diamond ring as MJF looked upset. MJF then stood up and walked into a GTS from CM Punk then fell on the tacks.
CM Punk looked on at Wardlow outside the ring, and Wardlow looked through his pockets again and pulled out the diamond ring. Wardlow looked at Punk then placed the diamond ring on the mat and left. Punk then used the diamond ring to finish MJF off and pick up a big victory.
Earlier in the night Wardlow earned a TNT Championship shot when he won the Face of the Revolution ladder match. It’s been teased for some time now that Wardlow could be breaking away from MJF, but it looks like they are done following the pay-per-view. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
