There is a lot of speculation about Goldberg’s match for the upcoming WWE Fastlane pay-per-view. He is expected to be in the main event of the show, which means his opponent could be almost anyone. However, the rumor is that Goldberg will challenge Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship.

Goldberg vs. Owens is extremely interesting because the WWE Universe isn’t sure if WWE officials would be willing to put the title on the former WCW star, but the upcoming match with Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 33 could only become bigger and fresh by adding the Universal Title.

The report is claiming that a match between Goldberg and Owens would be very short and it would be booked in a similar fashion as the Survivor Series bout between Goldberg and Brock Lesnar. On paper, that could make Owens look weak or make Goldberg look really strong.
