This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite kicked off with MJF successfully defending his Dynamite Diamond Ring against Juice Robinson. After the match he was attacked by Bullet Club Gold when Roderick Strong, Matt Taven and Mike Bennett tried to make the save. Taven and Bennett were knocked out of the ring by Bullet Club Gold then The Acclaimed came down to even the odds.
MJF challenged Bullet Club Gold to a match next week and told them that he will find three partners of his choosing. Max told Jay White that if his team wins Jay will have to give him the Triple B AEW World Championship belt back.
Roderick Strong asked if Max was going to choose him, Matt Taven and Mike Bennett to be his partners next week, but MJF turned him down. The Acclaimed then offered to team with MJF which resulted in MJF turning them down as well before leaving.
When MJF reached the top of the ramp Kenny Omega’s music hit to a big reaction from the crowd. Omega joked that MJF looks like he has a lot going on, so he got right to the point. Omega told MJF that he deserves the right to defend his streak as the longest reigning AEW World Champion, and he challenged MJF to put the belt on the line.
MJF didn’t back down from the challenge. Instead Max told Kenny Omega that he can have his shot at the AEW World Championship this Saturday on Collision. MJF and Omega then hit their respective catchphrases before facing off one last time. Kenny Omega ended by shaking MJF’s hand and saying, “three days b****.”
