You never know who might return when you’re watching an AEW pay-per-view as fans found out last week during Worlds End. Following the main event FTR returned followed by the “Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland.
Adam Copeland is now back on AEW programming and this week he underwent a significant name change at Fight For The Fallen. During the broadcast it was confirmed that Adam Copeland will be referred to as Cope from now on.
Cope teamed up with FTR to face off against the team of Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta on Wednesday night. When it was all said and done it was Rated FTR that picked up the win.
Following the name change footage of Adam Copeland talking about a potential name change with Renee Paquette last year has resurfaced. During the interview he made it a point to say that he wanted to make the transition from Adam Copeland to Cope.
So Adam Copeland last year explained to Renee Paquette that he really likes being called COPE.
Even talked about wrestling Jon Moxley building their potential match as COPE vs MOX. That seems to be the idea.
