The wrestling landscape has drastically changed since All Elite Wrestling first launched in 2019. Many people have joined the company over the last few years and many people have also parted ways with AEW. Now it seems that yet another AEW departure is on the horizon.
Fightful Select is reporting that the word going around the industry is that Rafael Morffi will be parting ways with AEW at the end of the year. Rafael Morffi served as the Vice President of Live Events/Touring for AEW, but is expected to pursue other interests moving forward.
It was noted that news of Rafael Morffi’s departure has been making rounds within the professional wrestling industry. However, it wasn’t something that was discussed backstage at recent AEW tapings over the last few weeks.
In the past Morffi has worked for WWE and he also served as the Senior Director of Live Events for Total Nonstop Action. Outside of wrestling he also worked for the New York Cosmos soccer team.
Stay tuned for more updates on AEW departures as they become available.
