The Mae Young Classic was full of some of the best female action in WWE history. Although not all moments on the groundbreaking tournament were winners, the WWE Universe certainly won in the fact they got some great action. Jazzy Gabert recently revealed on E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness that WWE actually offered her a contract during her time there but it had to be taken back because Dr. Joseph Maroon found three herniated discs in her neck when he did some investigating during WWE’s strict physical testing procedures. If you’re keeping track, this adds Gabert to a list of females that couldn’t be signed for one reason or another and it’s a pretty loaded roster of talent too.

Jazzy is supposed to get her injuries checked out and fixed in the spring, so it’s likely she could have time to turn it around and come back to WWE. Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens said she is not taking any bookings after April so that is likely when a corrective procedure could be planned.
Although Gabert was eliminated from the tournament in the first round by Abbey Laith, she still made a huge impression. After that, she appeared in a six-woman tag team match where she teamed with Tessa Blanchard and Kay Lee Ray where they defeated Santana Garrett, Marti Belle, and Sarah Logan. Some of those six women are already under WWE contract but it’s probably safe to say they all have a great chance of all winding up in WWE sooner or later.
Let’s hope Gabert can get this surgery and have another go at WWE. People were chanting “please sign Jazzy” for a reason during her match during the Mae Young Classic and WWE would be very wise to capitalize on The Alpha Female’s popularity and outstanding charisma.
