Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are currently working as a tag team called The Bludgeon Brothers, and they’ve put the SmackDown Live tag team division on notice.
Harper and Rowan’s Bludgeon Brothers gimmick is hard to ignore as they wear over the top outfits and carry mallets to the ring. The Bludgeon Brothers are intimidating to say the least, and during a recent interview with CBS Sports Luke Harper noted that Vince McMahon has had a big impact on the team.
“Yep. It’s a huge stamp of his. And then it’s just me and Rowan just being a couple of no-nonsense, don’t-care-about-anybody, go-to-the-ring-and-do-what-we-wanna-do kind of business now. And I’m way more comfortable with that. So I’m cool with it.”
It seems that it’s only a matter of time before Harper and Rowan challenge for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles, but Harper also indicated that he still wants to return to singles wrestling at some point in the future.
“Of course, and I had a run — a very small run — with the Intercontinental title that I would love to redo. And me and Rowan have never won the championship, so that’s at the forefront right now. Longterm, literally I wanna be able to support my wife and my two sons, and be happy. A world championship would definitely help that.”
