WWE contracts have been a hot topic as of late as names like Santos Escobar, Jazmyn Nyx and Karrion Kross have turned down new contract offers in recent months. It seems that another notable deal was close to expiring, but a longtime WWE star is now set to remain with the company.

Fightful Select reports that Xavier Woods was recently in negotiations with WWE and the negotiations resulted in Woods signing a multi-year contract extension that will keep him with the company.

Originally Xavier Woods’ deal was set to expire in September of 2025, but the two sides came to an agreement. It’s being said that the talks came down to the wire and the deal was only finalized in September.

At this point in time there’s currently no word on Kofi Kingston’s contract status. All three members of The New Day signed new matching deals in 2019. However, all three members suffered injuries which means WWE could have potentially added time to the deals, but that’s not confirmed to be the case.

Xavier Woods first signed with WWE in 2010 and since then he’s become a 12 time WWE Tag Team Champion, a 1 time NXT Tag Team Champion and a King of the Ring winner.
