When Kane returned during the closing segment of Raw it was a very surprising turn of events. He came back to interrupt the Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman match and in the process, Kane inserted himself into the main event at TLC.
But it’s important to remember Kane is a very busy guy and running for Mayor of Knox County, Tennesse in 2018. He also has his own insurance agency in Knoxville. But for some reason, he’s back in the picture.
There are many theories as to why Kane returned to take on The Shield, and some are under the impression Kane returned to avenge his brother The Undertaker’s loss at WrestleMania 33. This theory does have some weight to it considering how Reigns defeated Taker at Mania to apparently retire him.
Another theory why Kane came back is on the opposite end of the spectrum. In fact, some are under the impression Kane returned in order to prep crowds for an eventual return of The Undertaker.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting whatever Kane is up to during this return run, it won’t be a very long stay. The Big Red Machine will reportedly be back for the next month or so, but it will be a short-term return.
It was also said how not many people backstage knew about Kane’s return as WWE obviously wanted to keep it a secret. They did a very good job of it too because it’s pretty hard to hide someone his size.
