This year Survivor Series weekend is set to takeover Toronto, but next year Survivor Series is heading to Houston, TX according to the Houston Chronicle.
The report notes that NXT will hold an event at the Toyota Center on November 18, followed by Survivor Series the next night, then Raw, then SmackDown Live. Travel packages for all Survivor Series events are set to go on sale 11 a.m. on Dec. 6. at SurvivorSeriesTravel.com. Regular tickets for the event will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Dec. 9
“There is amazing heritage and history in WWE’s relationship with Houston and all of Texas,”said John Saboor, WWE’s executive vice president of special events. “We are excited to work with key stakeholders in Houston to positively leverage that important heritage and build a strong Survivor Series weekend and celebration.”
Survivor Series 2017 will mark the 30th anniversary of the event. Along with WrestleMania, Royal Rumble and SummerSlam, Survivor Series is considered to be one of the “big four” WWE pay-per-views.
This year the pay-per-view will feature Goldberg’s first match in over 12 years as he faces off against his WrestleMania 20 opponent, Brock Lesnar. Team Raw will also be facing Team SmackDown in three separate Survivor Series matches, and the IC Title and Cruiserweight Title will both be on the line. If the titles change hands they will also switch brands.
