Liv Morgan has become one of the top stars in WWE over the last few years, but she first signed with the company back in 2014. She’s worked her way up from humble beginnings and she recently talked about the process of choosing her name.
While talking about the origin of her ring name on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Liv revealed that she was given a choice between Liv Morgan, or Liv Gallow, and she decided to go with Morgan.
“I walked into work one day and they were like, ‘Okay, you’re either Liv Morgan or Liv Gallow, pick.’ I was like, oh. I had known we had Luke Gallows at some point in time there, he wasn’t employed in that moment in time when I was there. But I had known of him and his history. So I was like, I’ll be Liv Morgan, and that was really it. I never really liked Morgan, now I like it. But I remember, first time signing an autograph, I was like, I’m just gonna sign Liv, and that’s all I’ve done. That just stayed with me my whole career. Only because I didn’t like Morgan.”
During the interview Liv also pointed out how she’s competed in every women’s Royal Rumble so far, and this year she was finally able to pick up the win. Liv will be challenging Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 42, and it’s been confirmed that their match will be part of the card for night 1.
Stay tuned for updates.
