Ahead of the WWE Crown Jewel premium live event Triple H announced that two champion vs. champion matches would take place during the show. He confirmed that Cody Rhodes would face Gunther and Nia Jax would face Liv Morgan and the winner of each match would become Crown Jewel Champion.
Liv Morgan and Nia Jax faced off in the first Crown Jewel Championship match of the night, and it was Morgan who won the match to become the WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Champion.
At one point both Nia and Liv were down as Tiffany Stratton’s music hit. Tiffany ran down to the ring and tried to hand the Money in the Bank briefcase to the referee, but Nia Jax interrupted her. Tiffany started walking back up the ramp as Nia Jax told her to “get out of here!”
Jax hit a Samoan Drop, but Liv countered it into a pin. Jax kicked out and Liv went for Oblivion. Jax countered then Tiffany tried to cash in again as Raquel Rodriguez stopped her. Raquel tried to get Tiffany Stratton to back off as Dominik Mysterio appeared at ringside.
Back in the ring Nia went for the Annihilator on Liv as Dominik slid the Money in the Bank briefcase into the ring. The ref got distracted by the briefcase, so Raquel knocked Nia Jax off the top rope while the ref wasn’t looking. Liv Morgan then connected with Oblivion to become the first ever WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Champion.
After the match Triple H handed the WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship to Liv Morgan and raised her hand. She celebrated with both of her belts as the fans cheered.
