The Hardys are one of the most popular tag teams of all time, and they returned to WWE earlier this year when they won the Raw Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 33. Fans are happy that the duo is with WWE once again, but back in the day Team Xtreme had a third member.
Former WWE Women’s Champion Lita was once a member of Team Xtreme, and during a recent Q&A session in Paris she teased that she could pop up to assist The Hardys at some point in the future.
“All I want to say is keep your eyes open if you see a third member with whomever the Hardyz are facing. If there’s someone interfering and messing around with them and there needs to be an equaliser for a potential “one night only attraction”, I think that would be a lot of fun,” Lita said via Sportskeeda.
There’s little doubt that a full Team Xtreme reunion would get a massive reaction from the fans, but don’t look for it to happen any time soon.
Jeff Hardy is currently out of action following surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff, and he’s reportedly set to undergo another surgery next week. Jeff is expected to be out of action fro 6 to 9 months.
In the meantime Matt Hardy is teasing a new evolution for his character.
Even though we won’t be seeing all three members of Team Xtreme together in the near future, it’s still nice to know that Lita is open to the idea of a reunion.
