Yesterday it was reported that WWE Hall of Famers Jerry Lawler and Lita have been pulled from the WWE pre-shows, but that they are still loosely affiliated with the company through their Legends deals. Jim Ross noted on Twitter that he spoke to Lita, and according to her she’s no longer with the company.
Speaking of Jim Ross, he recently posted his latest blog where he shared his thoughts on Raw and more. Monday night Chris Jericho challenged Roman Reigns for the United States Championship on Raw, and Ross had high praise for Chris Jericho’s perfomance.
“Roman Reigns should buy Chris Jericho a bottle of Y2J’s favorite beverage for helping make Reigns look extremely strong Monday night in many logical ways. Jericho is the best pure ‘heel’ in the business right now for my money and he brings a great learning experience to every one that he works with in a WWE ring. Nice match on Monday night.”
With all of the rumors circulating regarding who may or may not be showing up at the 2017 Royal Rumble, Jim Ross also added that he would love to see some sort of official announcement regarding appearances from Shawn Michaels and/or The Undertaker.
“I like that both Lesnar and Goldberg are both in the Royal Rumble match as it should help move tickets locally for the Alamo Dome extravaganza. I’d love to see an official announcement that both HBK and Taker are going to be on hand in some role as to add to the marketable nostalgia for the event. The two legends do not need to wrestle but being creatively utilized in some manageable manner would help the event feel bigger and more desirable to attend.”
