On this last week’s episode of SmackDown Live Jinder Mahal made a veiled reference to how he heard several wrestling legends from the past were going to be at ring side during his match against Randy Orton.
Money In The Bank is in St. Louis and that was considered a hub for pro wrestling back in the day. So there are quite a few pro wrestling legends who would feel very at home there.
Jinder only made reference to the fact that Randy’s father “Cowboy” Bob Orton was scheduled to be in the front row to cheer his son on but more names have recently came out regarding who you should expect to see at Money In The Bank. The Observer reports fans should also be expecting to see Larry Hennig, Baron Von Raschke, and Greg Gagne.
Another name confirmed for the show is “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. It will be nice to see Flair along with everyone else confirmed for the Money In The Bank show.
Having these legends at ringside will either add another moment of triumph when Orton defeats The Modern Day Maharaja for the WWE Championship or it will only add another layer of shame to the defeat. But it’s still a good idea for WWE to use these top legendary names. Not only will it get a pop from the local crowd because of the legacy they hold but it will help the legends out too just by appearing on television again.
Other names rumored but not confirmed for the event are Gerald Briscoe, Rocky Johnson, and Ted DiBiase. Those names haven’t been put in stone yet, but it would make sense that WWE might call them too.
The question might come up to how many seats in the front row they’re wanting to save for these legends. But with all the tickets still reportedly available for Money In The Bank it might make sense that WWE at least use those seats in some capacity.
