Over the last few weeks quite a few names have parted ways with WWE due to coronavirus related budget cuts, among other reasons, and now it looks like another name is gone.
PWInsider reports that creative team member Chris DeJoseph was released from WWE on Friday.
Chris DeJoseph returned to the company in December of 2019, and he had been working as Lead Writer and Producer for Friday Night SmackDown.
The departure was seen as sudden, as DeJoseph reportedly received a promotion a week ago.
It’s also being said that his departure had nothing to do with any COVID-19-related cutbacks.
Chris DeJoseph originally worked for WWE from 2004 to 2010 and landed the role of Senior Writer/Producer. He has made appearances on WWE programming as Big Dick Johnson.
