Ronda Rousey is one of the most recognizable fighters in the world, and she isn’t shy about telling people how much she loves professional wrestling. The fact that Rousey is a lifelong pro wrestling fan is well known, and talk of her wrestling a match in a WWE ring has been going on for quite some time now
Rousey filmed footage during the Mae Young Classic a few months ago teasing a possible Horsewomen vs. Horsewomen match, and even though the match isn’t happening at Survivor Series like originally thought, it is still set to take place.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Ronda Rousey has been training regularly at the WWE Performance Center as of late. The Horsewomen vs. Horsewomen match is currently scheduled for WrestleMania next year, which gives Rousey and company several months to train.
The feeling is that Survivor Series wasn’t the right event for Ronda Rousey’s first match, because her first match is going to get a lot of publicity, so WrestleMania is the best place for it to happen.
If the WrestleMania match goes well it’s possible that Rousey could continue to work with WWE and wrestle a singles match somewhere down the line.
