There’s nothing quite like a cast change to spark new interest for a television show. Sometimes it works out, but other times it’s a disaster. WWE has been able to keep Total Divas fresh for seven seasons due to the fact that the E! Television show is constantly changing up their cast. At this point Natalya and the Bella Twins are the only OG cast members that have remained series regulars throughout the production.
The latest issue of The Observer reports even more cast changes have been made to the next season of Total Divas. It was previously reported Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax were put on the show to replace Eva Marie. But now that it is confirmed Paige and Renee Young will not be returning for the seventh season, WWE is also placing Carmella on the popular reality show.
This is sure to be an interesting move because it will give us a chance to get a look at The Princess Of Staten Island’s relationship with Big Cass. These two have been seen together in NXT before and their chemistry is amazing. It also provides an opportunity to see Cass and Rusev interact on some kind of tropical vacation and that sounds hilarious.
Big Cass isn’t the only male WWE Superstar joining this season as Tyson Kidd has confirmed he will be back on the show when the seventh season kicks off. Kidd was almost paralyzed when his neck was broken by Samoa Joe in a dark match before Raw in 2015. Since then he’s been recovering from that injury and WWE didn’t want him on television discussing the muscle buster botch. But now that he’s a WWE Producer on the road and appearing on Total Divas again he’ll have something to do other than just take care of his cats.
The next season of Total Divas looks like it might be a good one. If you haven’t checked it out before these new additions might be enough to make you tune in.
