The Undertaker entered the Royal Rumble on Sunday night, and although he had a dominant performance, he was only in the match for less than 10 minutes before he was eliminated by Roman Reigns, who entered the match at number 30.
Taker look a little rough in the ring, and it was reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that The Undertaker was hurting when he got backstage after the match. Taker underwent hip surgery a few months ago, and it was noted that he probably came back too quick from surgery.
WrestleMania 33 is still two months away which gives The Undertaker time to heal, and he’s expected to work a match with Roman Reigns at the big event in Orlando.
Last year at WrestleMania 32, The Undertaker took on Shane McMahon in a Hell in a Cell match. The Undertaker’s WrestleMania career was on the line, and Shane McMahon was fighting for control of Raw.
The Undertaker managed to defeat Shane McMahon, and Shane ended up taking control of Raw the next night anyway before the brands were split, as he now runs SmackDown.
Although the stipulations added to the match didn’t have much of an impact on WWE in the long run, people are still talking about Shane McMahon’s insane elbow drop from the top of the cell.
Luckily Shane McMahon made it from bell to bell without suffering any injuries, and when he got backstage he was greeted by his family. WWE has released a clip from the latest episode of WWE 24 which focuses on WrestleMania 32, and it shows Shane embracing his father as Vinnie Mac himself sheds a few tears. Check it out below.
