The Wrestling Observer that it’s pretty much a done deal that TNA will no longer air on Spike TV after their deal ends at the end of the year. Spike TV has been trying to be a good partner and give TNA until the end of the year to broker a new deal.

As we reported last month, TNA received an offer from Discovery Network’s VELOCITY channel, which is in 48 million homes and is in HD only. The biggest issue was the rights fee, which is less than a quarter of what they are currently making at Spike. If TNA took the deal, they would have to find an additional revenue stream or the deal may not be viable.

Meltzer noted that WGN America has come up as a possible option for TNA, however that could possibly have pre-emptions. TNA is reportedly in talks with two other networks, making it four total networks are currently in the running. Two of the networks would be stronger than WGN or Velocity, and one is even stronger than Spike, although it doesn’t share the same demographics.

Until a TV deal is made TNA is shying away from making any new deals, and “everything is up in the air regarding the future.”
