Sunday night at Hell in a Cell, Sasha Banks and Charlotte are set to make history when Sasha defends her title against Charlotte inside the cell. There’s been a lot of talk about whether or not that match should headline the show as of late, but WWE is currently promoting all three cell matches as a “triple main event.”

Despite the fact that WWE is promoting three main events, everyone knows that only one match can close the show. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are people in WWE pushing for the women’s match to go on last. People in favor of the match going on last are arguing that it’s a good idea because it hasn’t been done, it makes the company look progressive, and the show is set to take place in Sasha’s hometown.
However, it doesn’t sound likely that the match will go on last this Sunday. The creative team is said to be pushing for the women to main event with Triple H’s support, but Vince McMahon is the one preventing it from happening.
One source close to the situation was quoted as saying, “And what everyone needs to understand is that there’s no one who understands the outside less than the man who makes all the decisions. We just have to find a respectful way to change his mind.”
Speaking of the main event, Raw General Manager Mick Foley recently asked fans on Facebook what they think the main event should be. He posted the following:
“Thanks to all the fans in #Mexico and my two new adopted sisters, Jimena Sanchez & Vero Rodriguez from #FoxSportsMexico. The ladies are funny, kind, beautiful…and they love flannel! I hope #WWE sends me back soon! Who’s getting ready for #HIAC? What match do you see stealing the show? In your opinion, which match is THE main event? This year’s #SuperSockoSale will take place WORLDWIDE from November 7-14. Makes a perfect holiday gift, and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.”
