WWE officials have reportedly been considering doing something different this year and inducting the WrestleMania I main event itself into the Hall of Fame. Which would mean participants Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Mr. T, Paul Orndorff and others likely being inducted as well.
While that is the idea being pitched for Piper and Hogan during WrestleMania XXX weekend, it’s still possible they will have some kind of match role on the pay-per-view itself.
The latest rumor regarding a match is that Piper pitched the idea of doing him teaming with a top heel vs. Hogan and John Cena. It’s said that Piper wanted that top heel to be CM Punk but WWE doesn’t have interest in turning Punk heel.
Other unconfirmed rumors that have circulated around the internet include Hogan and Cena teaming up to face The Real Americans, Cena facing off against a top heel with Hogan in his corner, and Hogan facing off against Piper just to name a few. With WrestleMania season kicking into full gear soon expect plans for Hogan and Piper to become more clear over the next few weeks.
