Neville has been a big player in the WWE cruiserweight division throughout 2017, and he even went as far as to dub himself the King of the Cruiserweights. But he decided to leave his crown with WWE when he walked away from the company a few weeks ago, and since then there’s been a lot of speculation about what’s next for his career.
It was recently reported that the lines of communication between WWE and Neville are open once again and the relationship between the two sides seems to be getting better, with some believing that he could be returning to the company soon.
When he first decided to walk away from WWE, it was reported that ultimately it would be Vince McMahon’s decision regarding whether or not the former Cruiserweight Champion would be released from his contract.
F4Wonline.com is now reporting that Neville was attempting to line up plans outside of WWE, but those plans were blocked because the company decided not to release him from his contract. So, it seems that WWE officials don’t have any intentions of letting Neville go at this point.
Whether or not talks between the two sides will indeed lead to a return remains to be seen, but it certainly looks like there’s hope for fans who want to see Neville on WWE programming once again.
