It’s been a tough year for the WWE main roster, as several stars have had to sit on the sidelines due to injuries. Former WWE Champion Dean Ambrose recently had to undergo surgery due to a triceps tear, and WWE is claiming that he could be out of action for up to nine months.
Monday night on Raw, former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Brian Kendrick also suffered an injury during his match with Hideo Itami. Kendrick took a brutal looking knee to the face when Itami hit him with the GTS, and WWE later announced that he fractured his nose and orbital bone.
PWInsider is reporting that Brian Kendrick is expected to be out of action for at least two months. It was noted on WWE’s website that the injury will not require surgery, and the nose break was described as minimal.
There’s never a good time to be injured, but the timing of this specific injury is most unfortunate for Brian Kendrick as the stars of the WWE cruiserweight division are set to be featured in the first ever 205 Live events in January. It seems that Brian will have to miss the upcoming live events, and the Royal Rumble as well.
Luckily it sounds like Brian Kendrick will be back in time for WrestleMania, so we wish him a speedy recovery.
