Brock Lesnar won the WWE Universal Championship when he defeated Goldberg at WrestleMania 33 last year, and he’s been the champion ever since.
Lesnar has been featured as one of WWE’s top stars since the moment he first debuted, but with his contract set to expire this year everyone is wondering whether or not he’ll be staying with the company.
Brock’s contract is set to expire after WrestleMania 34 in April, but there are aspects of the deal that will keep him tied up through August, which means if Brock would like to fight in UFC before August, he would need the approval of Vince McMahon.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that it’s still not clear what Brock is going to do next, as Dana White recently indicated that he believes Brock Lesnar will fight in UFC this year.
Last time Brock’s deal with WWE was set to expire, he teased that he would be returning to UFC, but ultimately he ended up signing a new WWE contract. In the end everything worked out for Brock though as WWE allowed him to fight Mark Hunt at UFC 200.
Brock is set to turn 41 this year, and it’s been speculated that if he does return to UFC, it will only be for one fight so he can get a big payday. But it’s not clear if he would take time away from WWE to do so, or if the company would allow him to fight once again as part of a new deal if he signs another contract.
