TNA has been taking a lot of heat lately in regards to Eric Young winning the TNA World Heavyweight Title just days after Daniel Bryan won the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania XXX. Many people see it as TNA trying to copy WWE but PWInsider is reporting that TNA officials made the call to give Eric Young the big win because it was the last live episode of Impact for a few weeks so they wanted to surprise people.
The creative team was said to have been very secretive about the decision to give Eric Young the belt.
