During the WWE Superstar Shake-up, Lana was moved to Tuesday nights, and on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live she finally made her debut. Lana tried to convince Shane McMahon to let her enter the first ever women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, but Shane denied her request.
After Lana interfered in a tag team match by attacking Naomi, a SmackDown Women’s Championship match was booked for Money in the Bank, and Lana will be challenging Naomi for the title.
Getting a shot at the SmackDown Women’s Championship is a big deal, especially for someone like Lana who doesn’t have as much in ring experience as the other ladies on SmackDown. There was some speculation that Lana may wrestle on next week’s episode of SmackDown, but WWE’s website has confirmed that she’ll be making her blue brand in ring debut at Money in the Bank on June 18th.
