WWE has released a number of wrestlers in recent months and it was revealed back in August that Lacey Evans had parted ways with the company. Lacey later clarified that she requested to be released from her contract.
Lacey Evans recently went into detail about why she requested to be released from WWE when she appeared on the Power Alphas Podcast which is hosted by former WWE stars Mandy Rose & Tino Sabbatelli.
“I asked, you know, for my release. I asked if I could like verbatim, ‘Can I slip out the side door?’ Where I come from and what I’ve been through and what I’ve had to do, nobody’s gonna talk to me any certain way, I’m not going to sit my a** in catering eating steak anymore.”
“Success to me – and I’m gonna p**s a lot of people off, I don’t give a s***. You can’t cancel me at this point. Not that I gave a s*** to begin with. Back then, how I lasted seven years in WWE, I have no idea. My mouth was the same one backstage. I can’t tell you how many damn fights I almost got into.”
“I’ve got to be making moves. If you don’t see me as the top guy, and you have the ability to make that choice, let me go because I know where I’m a top guy. I know where I thrive the most. I’m a thriver. I have to go.”
