LA Knight has been trying to climb the ladder in WWE over the last few years and it’s no big secret that The Megastar has his sights set on championship gold. On Saturday, Knight will have an opportunity to punch his ticket to WrestleMania as he’s set to compete in the men’s Elimination Chamber match.
During an interview with ESPN, LA Knight was asked what it would mean to him to battle for the Undisputed WWE Championship on the Grandest Stage of Them All, and Knight made it clear that he thinks he’s due for a world title match at WrestleMania.
“Man, I tell you what it would mean to me. It would mean all this paid off. Everything. All the effort, all the time, all the blood, sweat, tears, all that stuff that you hear everybody talk about, it’s real. And what we do here, man, with the years, and years, man, I’m 23 years deep in this thing right now. Don’t tell. But with that being the case, when you talk about a marquee match like that nothing gets bigger than WrestleMania. As far as I’m concerned me being in the world title picture at WrestleMania, overdue if you ask me.”
So far only two matches have been solidified for WrestleMania 42 as it’s been confirmed that Roman Reigns will be challenging CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship, and Liv Morgan will be challenging Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship.
Stay tuned for updates.
