LA Knight Says He’s Looking To Become WWE Universal Champion Sooner Than Later

In recent months LA Knight has become one of the most talked about wrestlers on the WWE main roster and it seems that he has his fair share of fans. Recently LA Knight spoke to KTAL NBC 6 and the news anchors said that there are people on the staff who feel that Knight is ready to be world champion.

LA Knight joked that he heard people in the studio saying “YEAH!” before adding, “Not only are they looking for me to become world champ sometime soon, but I’m looking to become the WWE Universal Champion sooner than later.”

A clip was then shown of a young fan asking LA Knight who he would like to face if he could have a dream match with anyone and he named a few of the current stars on the roster.

“Dream matches, you think about people from the past who aren’t doing it anymore. There are a couple of those. Everyone is talking about it again, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, that makes me look at Roman Reigns. Even Gunther, with the Intercontinental Championship. Austin Theory for the United States Championship. Any one of those guys, who I could take a piece of gold off of, that would be my dream match.”

There’s currently no word on whether or not WWE is looking to give LA Knight a title run, but it was recently reported that he’s being considered to win the Money in the Bank contract later this year.
