The King and Queen of the Ring tournament kicked off last week on Monday Night Raw and the tournament continued during WWE live events over the weekend.
LA Knight managed to advance in the tournament when he picked up a big win over Santos Escobar in a first round match that took place at the WWE live event in Chattanooga, TN. It’s no big secret that LA Knight has become one of WWE’s most popular stars, so naturally some fans were disappointed that his King of the Ring match was not televised.
The Megastar responded to the criticism on social media while hyping up WWE live events when he posted the following:
“I appreciate everyone saying this match should’ve been on TV. But, no need to throw live event crowds under the bus.
Live events are where the @WWE roster has as much fun as possible.
Not only having a great match, but a match with HUGE stakes makes the live events more fun!”
LA Knight will now go on to face Tama Tonga in the quarterfinals of the tournament. The finals will take place at the King and Queen of the Ring premium live event on Saturday, May 25.
