Ever since Kyle O’Reilly lost the ROH title at Wrestle Kingdom 11 to Adam Cole (bay-bay) in just over ten minutes, rumors have been circling that the 29-year-old might be making a move to WWE. Seeing how NXT needs to acquire new talent and O’Reilly is one of the hottest acts out there, some say it is highly probable.
Even more fuel has been thrown on the rumor fire as PWInsider reports O’Reilly has been pulled from Ring of Honor’s official website as well as their television tapings in Atlanta this weekend.
PWInsider reports that O’Reilly is ‘exploring other options’, but hasn’t gone as far to say that WWE is one of those options being considered for the Canadian born wrestling star.
Along with being an incredibly talented professional wrestler, O’Reilly also has type 1-diabetes which is an interesting angle to play on if WWE decides to go that direction with his character.
At this point it is still uncertain if O’Reilly is going to be making the move to Orlando any time soon to join NXT. But, if history is any determining factor as to what is to come for ‘The Martial Artist’, it certainly looks like a promising idea.
