Kurt Angle recently announced that he’ll be wrestling his farewell match at WrestleMania 35, and this week on Monday Night Raw he picked Baron Corbin to be his opponent.
The announcement was immediately met with a negative response from the wrestling community, and it sounds like WWE officials have been paying attention.
According to WrestleVotes, Kurt Angle vs. Baron Corbin is now being “reconsidered.”
WWE officials didn’t expect this type of negative reaction, and don’t want such a negative feel for Angle’s farewell match.

It will be interesting to see if WWE does indeed change course with Kurt’s farewell match, as quite a few fans have expressed an interest in seeing John Cena face Angle, and it was recently reported that Cena still doesn’t have an opponent for WrestleMania.
