With the WWE Women’s Revolution in full swing, we’ve seen several milestones for the women in WWE. Fans have been treated to a Hell In A Cell match and two Money In The Bank matches all starring the fierce females of WWE.
There are rumors a female Royal Rumble could be on the way which would check off another accomplishment for the WWE Women’s Division. But one match WWE hasn’t put together yet is an Elimination Chamber consisting of all female competitors.
However, it would appear WWE might have some plans to bring this concept into reality very soon.
Kurt Angle recently took part in a Facebook Q&A where he was asked if the WWE Universe would be getting a female Elimination Chamber match. The Olympic Hero and current Raw GM confirmed fans will be getting a female exclusive Elimination Chamber match in the future but it will take some patience.
If WWE sticks with swapping gimmick-centric pay-per-views like they have with Hell In A Cell and Money In The Bank then Elimination Chamber looks like it will be a show for the Red Team this year. This opens up a plethora of possibilities about what could happen if the Raw Women’s Championship was defended in the punishing structure.
The latest incarnation of the Elimination Chamber was a bit altered. The usually grated exterior surrounding the ring was replaced with a material a little bit more conducive to taking bumps on. It still hurt a lot, but at least it wasn’t totally steel on flesh contact. It might be a “safer environment” now, but don’t get it twisted because the Elimination Chamber still has plenty of dangers.
There are many females on Raw ready to make a name for themselves and with Asuka’s impending debut for the Raw brand at TLC, it could be anyone’s guess how The Empress Of Tomorrow might fare in a female Elimination Chamber match. But we’re certainly excited about the possibility.
