Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle are attending the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus Ohio this weekend. There was an NXT show in Columbus Friday night in conjunction with the event as well. So WWE has a fair amount of presence at the Arnold Sports Festival which is a very good thing.
It looks like these two are going to get rather close in the months to come because it appears as though they’re headed toward WrestleMania 34 as a tag team against Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. So it’s nice they’re getting these moments to connect and spent some quality time together.
Angle put a couple pictures up on his Instagram of Rowdy Ronda and him at the festival. But more importantly, Angle wanted to show his daughter meeting the inspirational Rousey, a child they are already calling “Little Ronda.”
It might only be a matter of time before we get to see what Angle means by nicknaming his daughter after the first-ever UFC Bantamweight Champion but in the meantime, he’s happy she as able to meet Ronda and capture this moment with a photo op.
It wouldn’t be surprising if Angle’s daughter follows in her father’s footsteps in some regard. I’m sure when she grows up if Sophia Angle wants to take a whack at the WWE Performance Center she’d get a good look. But right now she’s just a kid with a father who’s very proud that his daughter can meet such an influential figure in sports.
Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle did a great job not only representing WWE but professional sports as a whole with their appearance at this year’s festivities. It’s a good thing they get along well too because as stated above, the Road To WrestleMania could very well include a lot of interaction between the two of them.
