Last month WWE released quite a few talents, producers and employees, and Kurt Angle happened to be among the names that were released.
Even though Kurt is not currently with the company, he did introduce Matt Riddle on a video package last week on SmackDown, and during an interview with Sports Illustrated he revealed why he turned down an offer to manage Riddle.
“WWE offered me a job to manage Matt Riddle. Unfortunately, I turned it down. I just have so much going with my business, Physically Fit Nutrition, and I need to make sure it succeeds before I do anything else.”
Angle also called his WWE release a “blessing in disguise” and noted that his his Physically Fit Nutrition business is getting more orders, so that’s keeping him busy. He went on to say that a particular item will be getting distribution in some major stores.
“We have chicken snacks called Chxn Snx, and they will be a number one seller. This will not only be available on Amazon, but also in convenience stores, health food stores, groceries, and bulk stores like Costco and Sam’s Club.”
