Kurt Angle had a long career inside the squared circle and throughout his career he used a variety of moves to battle his opponents. From time to time Angle would bust out a moonsault from the top rope, but it doesn’t sound like Vince McMahon approved of Angle using the move.
During a recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show, Kurt Angle talked about bigger wrestlers doing moves that a normally used by smaller guys, and he explained Vince McMahon’s reaction when he started using the moonsault.
“I got yelled at a couple of times when I first started doing the moonsault off the top rope,” Angle said. “Vince was like, ‘Listen, you’re not a small guy, you’re a big guy,’ and I said, ‘Vince, but I can do it, that’s actually impressive.’ He said, ‘Yeah, you’re right, but don’t use it a lot, just every once in a while,’ and he was right.”
