Kurt Angle was lucky enough to have a long career inside the squared circle, but he hung up his boots for good after Baron Corbin defeated him in his retirement match at WrestleMania 35.
So far the former WWE Champion has remained retired, but that hasn’t stopped wrestling promotions from reaching out to him. During an interview with Fightful Select Kurt Angle noted that All Elite Wrestling made him a direct offer.
According to Kurt Angle he was offered a “run” with AEW after he retired from in-ring competition. Angle went on to say that he was flattered by the offer but didn’t consider it because his is now too beat up to perform at the level he once did.
AEW wasn’t the only company that reached out to Kurt Angle as he also said that Impact Wrestling offered him a “one shot deal.” The Hall of Famer said that he does have a soft spot for Impact Wrestling but he did not seriously consider the offer to return.
