Many fans feel that Kurt Angle is one of the greatest in-ring performers of all time, and earlier this year he cemented his status as a legend when he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
At this point Kurt Angle only wrestles in the ring on a limited basis, and he spends most of his time working as the General Manager on Monday Night Raw.
As the General Manager, Angle has seen some intense feuds over the past few months, and Braun Strowman’s feud with Roman Reigns is something Angle has nothing but praise for.
The Raw GM recently spoke to Muscle & Fitness about Strowman, and he said that if he stays healthy he thinks Braun can become one of the best big men in history.
“I don’t like to compare myself to anybody, but he’s picking up quicker than anybody I know. He’s on his way, if he stays healthy, to be one of the best big men in the great history of the big men. That’s how much ability he’s displayed.”
Since taking on the role of General Manager, Angle has been incorporated in some of Raw’s biggest storylines, and he noted that the fact that Vince McMahon has faith in him is something he takes as a huge compliment.
“It’s a big challenge for me. I never had to [promote] for anyone else but myself. Now it’s a different role. I actually enjoy it. You know Vince McMahon saw me as one of the best actors on the roster…that’s a huge compliment coming from [him]. It’s just about trying to make things look real.”
So far Angle has wrestled twice on pay-per-view this year, and with WrestleMania season right around the corner, it’s probably only a matter of time before we see him in the ring again.
