All Elite Wrestling has been acquiring some big names lately as Paul Wight and Christian Cage recently joined the company. When Paul Wight made his debut he teased a “hall of fame worthy” signing, which turned out to be Christian, but the tease got a lot of fans talking about Kurt Angle possibly joining the company.
Kurt Angle officially wrestled his last match at WrestleMania 35 when he was defeated by Baron Corbin, and the Hall of Famer was released from WWE last year due to coronavirus related budget cuts.
Kurt Angle discussed Paul Wight’s jump to AEW during a recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show, and he indicated that he doesn’t see himself returning to the ring to compete for All Elite Wrestling.
“I don’t think so. I texted Big Show and said congratulations on signing with AEW and he said ‘Oh man, I feel like I’m 25.’ I was like holy s–t, you’re going to wrestle? He didn’t answer me, but he said he felt like he was 25 again, I guess that means he’s going to wrestle, I don’t know.”
