Kurt Angle On If Chad Gable Is The Next Kurt Angle

Chad Gable has really come into his own over the last few years, but ever since he started with WWE people have been comparing him to Kurt Angle. Being compared to Kurt Angle is obviously a great compliment and it appears that Angle himself has taken notice of Chad Gable.

Recently Chad Gable appeared on Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg, and he revealed that Randy Orton gave him a big compliment when The Viper said, “You made it, man. There is no more next Kurt Angle. That stuff is done. You’re not next Kurt Angle. You’re you. You found it. You found who you are and you’re showing everybody.”

Kurt Angle recently addressed Randy Orton’s assessment of Chad Gable on the Kurt Angle Show, and he made it clear that he agrees with Randy’s opinion of Gable.

“[Chad’s character has] developed incredibly well. I just love Chad. He has such a great energy about him, great attitude. When they said, ‘You’re the next Kurt Angle,’ he took it. He said, ‘I’m proud to be the next Kurt Angle. That’s a great compliment.’ But I think Randy’s right. He’s earned his own stripes. I believe that he’s done enough of his own stuff that now he is labeled as Chad Gable. He’s no longer the next Kurt Angle. He’s Chad Gable, and he’s gonna show the whole world what he can do.”
