A few weeks ago Kurt Angle announced that he would be wrestling his farewell match at WrestleMania 35, and many fans were disappointed to learn that the former WWE Champion would be wrestling his farewell match against Baron Corbin.
But the two former Raw General Managers face off on the Grandest Stage of Them All on Sunday night, and Kurt took the fight to Corbin at MetLife Stadium.
The end of the match came when Angle went for a moonsault, but Corbin moved out of the way, and he followed up with End of Days to end the match.
After the match the camera showed shots of fans in the crowd who were noticeably disappointed.
Kurt Angle got on the microphone and thanked the fans then said he wanted to hear the two words that epitomized his career. He asked for his music to be played, and the fans chanted “you suck” as he celebrated in the ring.
