Kurt Angle is one of the best professional wrestlers to ever lace up a pair of boots and in March he’s set to become a WWE Hall of Famer. WWE announced a few weeks ago that Kurt will be headlining this year’s class and naturally fans assumed that he would likely end up wrestling in a WWE ring once more. Kurt has said that he has yet to have any discussions with WWE about returning to the ring, but during a recent interview with Sirius XM’s Busted Open he confirmed that he’s not done wrestling.
Although there are no plans in place for him to wrestle inside a WWE ring anytime soon, hopefully the opportunity to have Kurt work with the current roster isn’t something that the company will pass up. There’s certainly no shortage of names that he would like to face and Kurt noted during his appearance on Busted Open that he would love to get in the ring with AJ Styles and/or Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.
Kurt Angle made a name for himself in WWE, but he also had a long run with TNA. A few years ago TNA tried to take Impact on the road, and unfortunately it didn’t work out so well. It was obvious that the company was losing money, otherwise they would have continued touring, and Kurt revealed that the amount of money the company lost was in the millions.
Regardless of TNA’s financial status, Angle still had good things to say about TNA and the people he worked with while he was there.
Kurt Angle got into wrestling in the late 90s and shortly after his WWE departure in 2006 it was rumored that he was considering making the jump to MMA, but nothing ever came of it. Looking back on his career Kurt noted that if UFC was as popular as it is now when he started his professional wrestling career then he would have pursued a career in MMA.
