Kurt Angle returned to the ring last month at the TLC pay-per-view, and he’s been an active wrestler since the big event. Angle wrestled on WWE’s recent European tour, and last Sunday he worked as the captain of Team Raw in the Survivor Series main event.
Angle’s leg was wrapped up during the event, and it was reported that he was working hurt. Kurt Angle recently participated in a Facebook Q&A session, and he confirmed that he tore a muscle in his leg.
“Leg is ok. I tore a muscle in it doing wind sprints 2 days before PPV. It’s okay though. I feel good and should be 100% in a week.”
Angle also addressed his rivalry with Triple H, and he teased that he’s looking forward to what’s coming.
“Yes. It felt like 2000 all over again. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead!”
Angle wrestled in the main event, but many fans feel like Brock Lesnar vs. AJ Styles stole the show, and the WWE Hall of Famer had nothing but good things to say about the match.
“Their match was incredible. It displayed both of their strengths. If you stay on Brock, he will sell for you. AJ did that, and Brock sold his ass off. Match was MONEY!”
Kurt was also asked which Superstar he always wanted to face but never got the chance to, and he named a fellow WWE Hall of Famer.
“Bret Hart. Never had the chance and I’d love one match with him.”
